ERICA + DAVE’S SPANISH WEDDING

Erica and Dave’s spanish style wedding at the El Adobe Restaurant in San Juan Capistrano was nothing short of breathtaking. The whole day was completely magical. Erica would say during her ‘Thank You’ speach that not only does it ‘Take a village to raise a child’ but that it truly ‘Takes a village to plan a wedding.’

All hands were on deck to put together this dreamy wedding. One of Erica’s family bridesmaids did her hair, another designed Erica’s STUNNING bridal bouquet as well as all the bridesmaids bouquets, and her family friend Taleyeh of Tala Events was her amazing and wonderful wedding planner! This wedding had so many special little touches that Erica and her Bridesmaids crafted to make her special day just perfect! From hand pained terracotta pots to hand painted signs and magically crafted dream catchers; there wasn’t a single idea not executed to perfection. Erica has the eye and the DIY skills to hand craft her dream wedding and you could honestly feel the LOVE that she put into ever single detail!

7 Bridesmaids and 7 groomsmen it was a large energetic bridal party; the girls got ready in an adorable cottage behind the restaurant while the guys got ready back at the grooms home. After Beauty and the Beach perfected Erica’s make-up she  slipped into her bohemian and romantic wedding dress from Love and Lace Bridal Shop we hurried out the door to meet Dave who was patiently waiting at the Mission to meet his BRIDE for the first time.

Tears rushed to Erica’s eyes as she saw Dave standing at the other end of the walkway. Wiping tears from her eyes she walked towards her husband to be, tapping him on the shoulder he turned around with the biggest smile on his face not believing the ‘vision’ that stood before him.

We walked around the Mission finding so many incredible areas to take photos. There is a overwhelming feeling of history and mystery that lies within these walls. I thought it was the perfect place for a ‘first look.’

We met the bridal party over at the iconic train tracks just behind the Mission to capture the fun-loving group all together before heading back to prepare for the ceremony. During the time that we were gone the El Adobe transformed it’s courtyard into a stunning ceremony site. This site no longer looked like a restaurant but a spanish courtyard infused with pure magic! The ceremony was emotional and sweet. Erica and Dave professed their vows in front of 150 of their closest family and friends.

The group cheered and waved maracas when Dave kissed his Bride and the two walked hand in hand back down the isle as Man and Wife. Erica + Dave were ALL smiles the entire night as they danced and laughed and kissed and their friends and family joined in the celebration!

The night ended with a sparkler tunnel to celebrate Erica and Dave’s love. They are married. The hashtag for the wedding was perfectly suited for their love story. After 8 years of dating and 2 years of wedding planning, Dave O’Neill Seals the Deal and the couple will finally live happily together as man and wife.
