What was the Inspiration for your wedding day? We wanted a classy and boujee party in DTLA for our family and closest friends who mostly came from Oregon. We picked Hotel Indigo because both the interior and the exterior were really beautiful!

How did you make your wedding day special and make it about the two of you? We kept our wedding super intimate with our guest count of 50 guests. We planned the entire wedding ourselves and we really wanted every part to be really memorable so we had Lani’s brother, Jason, be our officiant.

Most memorable moment(s) of your wedding day? FROM BEN: Seeing my bride walk down the marble staircase FROM LANI: Our first look when I first saw the twinkle in his eyes, pure wedding day bliss

What was your favorite part about the wedding planning process? Venue hunting, wedding dress searching, and our engagement photo shoot with The DeLauras!

Any advice for those planning now? As far as the music goes—Make huge playlists together and let the DJ choose the order. When you’re walking down the isle—capture every moment mentally & look into each other’s eyes. For the reception we recommend spending time with one another, and don’t get too drunk. And our final thoughts—for your First Dance–pretend no one else is around you!

How was your experience working with The DeLauras? PERFECT.  As far as the photography went we knew they had it all under control–we didn’t have to plan anything, we put our full trust in them and believed in them. We love Anthony and Kendal, seriously, What’s not to love? A beautiful married couple whom have crazy amounts of chemistry for each other and passion for what they do together. That’s the best team we could ever ask for. We only wish they would move closer to us so we could spend more time with them!
