JULIE + GAVIN | RAINY LA JOLLA WEDDING | LA VALENCIA HOTEL

Julie and Gavin were married on March 11, 2016. There was rain in the forecast but the morning appeared to be just another typical bright and sunny day SD day without a cloud in the sky; we all crossed our fingers that the rain would hold out until late in the evening..

Julie alongside of her best friend, her sister, and her pup got ready in the Sunset Suite at romantic and historical La Valencia Hotel in La Jolla. After stepping into her dress Julie took a moment to step outside and look out towards the beautiful ocean and was able to see her ceremony set up out on the terrace down below; she smiled, took a deep breath and was ready to finally see her groom!

Julie couldn’t hold back the tears as she started her walk towards Gavin. It was a powerful and beautiful moment when Gavin turned around to see his his bride for the first time. He was all smiles… you could feel the electricity in the air as they embraced.

The couple set out to do quick bridal photos out on the cliffs, it wasn’t more than 15 minutes before the big rain drops started falling from the sky; we rushed back under cover just in time. The moment we stepped back into the hotel the rain started coming down in sheets. There was no other option but to move Gavin and Julie’s wedding indoors… the rain and the lighting continued throughout the ceremony and only started to lift just as we were finishing photos!

The couple didn’t let the weather bring down their spirits, they just laughed and danced and enjoyed every single moment with their family and friends!!!!! Rain on your wedding day is said to bring good luck, I hope that this is the case with these two lovebirds!
