PERLA + MARCOS SAN FRANCISCO

Destination ‘Adventure’ Engagement Sessions happen to be our favorite types of photo shoots, because we spend a whole day getting to know our couples as we travel to awesome locations and capture their love in the most insane jaw-dropping settings ever! During the shoot we are always on the lookout for BEAUTIFUL light and will stop whenever we see it–sometimes just on the side of the road! It’s during these adventure sessions that magic happens! 

Perla + Marco’s destination engagement session in San Fransisco was to die for, we flew into town and were picked up by the adorable couple in their impeccably clean and beautiful car (Marcos and Perla own a uberrrr successful car detailing company near Facebook headquarters—We were thankful that we did not pick them up in our Subaru which has (truth-be-told) NEVER had a real detailing in her life–she was once known as Black Beauty, but has now travelled on one-to-many roadtrips and has seen better days)  We enjoyed the view of the city as we chatted about their love story and exchanged dating stories.

First stop was Foster City Bay where the beach is made up of tiny pieces of seashells (how cool!) Perla and Marcos have spent countless evenings strolling along the waterfront sharing picnics, and conversations, and playing fetch with their first pup together. Second stop, the Embarcadero, where Perla and Marcos were engaged! The couple loves coming down to the docks on Sunday Afternoons to hang out and people watch–it’s romantic and beautiful and it was the perfect place for Marcos to pop the question!!! The final stop was Baker Beach; the vantage point of the Golden Gate Bridge is unreallllll it’s probably the best place to watch the sunset (and on this day, get blown away by the crazzzzy wind!) Despite the cold, the pink hour photos we took of Perla and Marcos were to die for!!

Perla and Marcos were the sweetest, most enchanting couple ever! Perla’s laugh was infectious and you could see in Marcos’ eyes how much he adored her! The couple have been together since high school and acted like they had only just met–never leaving their ‘honeymoon’ stage–they have a kind of Love that you don’t see every day! We won’t soon forget this stunning whirlwind engagement session/sightseeing tour of San Francisco and we cannot wait until we capture their elopement in Big Sur this upcoming fall with the help of Mariah Green Wedding + Events!!!
