Sarah and Chris had an intimate wedding on the sand in Corona Del Mar. Barefoot, Sarah walked towards her love as he looked towards the ocean back turned.  Arm and arm, Sarah and her father made their way down the long beach and over the rocks towards their family and friends. As Sarah got close Chris turned around and laid his eyes upon his beautiful bride for the first time. Chris smiled from ear to ear, he couldn’t have been more excited to finally be marrying the love of his life.

Tears filled the couples eyes as Chris and Sarah joined hands, exchanged their own heartfelt vows and shared a kissed to seal the deal. Their family and friends cheered out in joy.

There really is something so special about an intimate wedding, your guests truly share in your ‘moment in the sun’; they are not merely spectators but active participants in your union. To me, this kind of wedding is rare and special and truly beautiful.

The bride and groom dusted off their sandy feet and headed towards the Five Crowns Restaurant to continue the celebration! Outdoors, their garden patio reception was whimsical, romantic and full of life and love.

FROM THE BRIDE:

1. What was your favorite moment of the day? ‘My favorite moment….I actually have three favorite moments. My first was when first walked up to Chris at the alter. He looked so handsome; all of our family surrounding us it was really special. My second favorite part was Chris’s vows. For weeks Chris has been teasing me by telling me he is going to use lines from the TV show ‘SCRUBS’ as his vows. However he didn’t do what I expected, his words were so heart felt and wonderful it took my breath away. And finally my TOP TOP favorite moment of the night was the ride home. We stayed at our reception to look for a missing napkin. Not the exit I was looking for and to top it off I was feeling very anxious about driving a golf cart to our house; Especially with a wedding dress on. We got in and took the back way home. Just the two of us. That night the ocean was covered in a foggy haze–the road ahead of us was clear and the  contrast was just amazing. We could feel the wind on our faces and we stopped at every stop sign for a little kiss. It was so magical. We smiled the entire way home. We both loved that part of the night. It was way better than any limo or taxi!!’
2. What was the theme for your wedding? ‘The theme started with colors. I have been obsessed with navy, white, and gold. Welll… white and gold with a touch of navy. As far as decor, one day I was thumbing through a bridal magazine I saw photo of a chandelier at a wedding and thought how whimsical it looked and I knew that I wanted something whimsical and romantic like that. I was lucky enough to have such a great friend to help me out–not only was she  My wedding event planner, decorator but she was also my seamstress ! She made my day so magical combining our ideas together!!!
3. What was your favorite part of the wedding planning process??  ‘My favorite part of wedding planning was finishing our wedding! haha.  REALLY The best part is the pre planning. The searching for ideas on Pinterest. And looking for what suits you best’
4. What is your advice to future brides??? ‘My advice. Oh so much advice… I will start with this. Always remember that it is a day for you and your spouse. Not anyone else. You will have constant input of what others want you to do. My biggest advice is to make sure you have Budget for a DJ. I don’t care how many blogs tell you that your iPod will work. They lie!!!!! Just get a DJ you will thank yourself later. Also, things will go wrong and that is ok. At the end of the day if you got married then the day was perfect. All the little mishaps will be a great story one day. Remember to eat that day. Eat at the reception take time to enjoy your meal. Most of all take A moment to look around and as my best friend’s mom told me. “Take a snap shot in your brain” these are moments you want to remember.
