Alexis and Andrew had the most romantic boho chic beach wedding I’ve ever seen. The two lovers are both beach wanderers and surfers so The Casino in San Clemente served to be the perfect venue for their day. The beautiful Spanish building is surrounded by cactus and succulents and the property is situated just a few shorts steps away from the sand.

Alexis and Andrew met in high school and have been together for 10 years. Their families came all the way from Florida to witness the long overdue union of these two soulmates. This was a celebration of love, family and friendship. What was so neat about thiswedding is how close everyone was; there was no ‘his side’ and ‘her side’ everyone was truly FAMILY.

FROM THE BRIDE:

1. What was your Favorite part of the wedding: My favorite part of the wedding is when my Dad was sent into the bridal room to wait to walk me down the aisle. It was just him and I, a very powerful and emotional moment for us both. It was so nice to have those few moments alone together before all eyes were on us.

2. What inspired Your wedding theme: hmmm well the venue itself is what I think inspired the theme. We were going for a simple, boho beach theme and since the venue had the Spanish casita style already, it was very easy to go along with that theme. We both spend so much time at the beach so we wanted to incorporate the driftwood in our center pieces and also incorporate succulents since these are new to us living in California. Neither of us like the “over the top” or “fancy” look so we tried to keep things simple.

3. Why did you pick the Casino: Besides the look of our venue, I loved the history and culture behind it. The Casino was built in the 1930’s as a dance hall and they have really maintained that look and feel in the venue still today.

4. Advice for brides planning a wedding at The Casino, in San Clemente: Take advantage of how beautiful the venue is before adding too much decor…it really doesn’t need much, just some personal touch here and there. Also, don’t even consider passing up a sunset photo shoot there on the beach after the ceremony, no matter how torturous it is for husband 🙂
