What was the Inspiration for your wedding day? We came up with the describing words elegant, clean, and classic and rolled with it from there! We went with black and white with accents of rose gold because we felt they fit the feel of those words for our black tie wedding.

How and why did you pick your venue and or wedding details? We wanted something completely outdoors with a garden feel. It had to have a tree! We always knew we wanted to get married under a tree. We fell in love with the Inn’s luscious grounds and the two big trees in front!

What special details did you include in your wedding or reception?? Andrew and I love to drink champagne, especially Moët and Chandon. It was what we drank on our first Valentine’s Day together and we’ve drank it on every special occasion since then. We even visited the Moët cellars in Epernay, France on our engagement trip to Paris. We were able to pick up one of the last bottles of Moët vintage 2008 left in San Diego and drink it at our sweetheart table that night to continue our special tradition.

How did you make your wedding day special and make it about the two of you??!  We wrote personal vows to each other in which we read during our first look when it was just the two of us. We felt that it was our moment to share those intimate feelings without all of ours guests watching. We then read the traditional vows to each other during the ceremony.

Most memorable moment (s) of your wedding day? Sara: My most memorable moment is turning the corner to walk down the aisle holding on to my dad’s arm. I saw all of our guests, I took in the whole event, and then saw Andrew waiting at the top of the aisle for me. It was overwhelming, amazing, emotional, and beautiful all at the same time. Andrew: My most memorable moment was when Sara and I had our first look and read our personal vows to each other. It was at that time that I really felt that we were promising to offer up ourselves to each other for the rest of our lives. A lot of moments in our wedding felt scripted because it had to fall in line with tradition and typical wedding events but this moment felt sincere and genuine. It was also one of the few times at the wedding that Sara and i got to spend an intimate moment together.

What was your favorite part about the wedding planning process? The food tasting! We felt like royals! Any advice for those planning now?  Hire a wedding planner before doing anything! They make wedding planning and life in general so much easier!
